Why Create Your Statement?

Dating abuse is an epidemic among today's youth. One in three teens will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse by someone they are in a relationship with before they become adults. Create Your Statement exists to help young women and men rise above this statistic and prevent the cycle of domestic violence. The TAKE a STAND, REDFLAG and COMPASS programs develop teens' assets and leadership skills by empowering them to recognize their value and potential and encouraging them to give back to the community through volunteer opportunities.
